Alma Busted Arrest Records
Alma has no police department of its own. A formal intergovernmental partnership, announced in February 2024, put the Fairplay Police Department in charge of municipal law enforcement. The responding officer may write an arrest or investigative report, but that paperwork does not stay with Fairplay. A custodial arrest on Park County charges goes to Park County Jail instead. There the Sheriff's Office controls the booking sheet and the intake photo.
The April 1, 2020 Census counted just 296 residents. That small size, plus the contract arrangement, keeps the record map lean. Neither Alma nor Fairplay PD publishes a daily bulletin, searchable arrest log, booking feed, or photo archive. So an Alma search works best by joining three sources: the contracted police department, the county jail and its weekly report, and Park Combined Court. Each one answers a different question.
Alma Contract Police System
The shared-service agreement explains almost everything about current Alma records. A fresh municipal incident can carry Fairplay Police Department branding even when it happened in Alma. Alma lists Chief Jeff Worley as its police contact. Fairplay PD works out of Fairplay Town Hall. Meanwhile, the Park County Sheriff's Office keeps countywide authority, dispatch, and custody operations.
Because of this split, the officer who handled the call, the report custodian, the jail custodian, and the court custodian can all be different agencies. Find out who holds the police file before paying any search charge. Booking questions go to PCSO. Case outcomes go to Park Combined Court. Older records may show a different agency mix, since the partnership is recent, so read agency names against the event date rather than today's arrangement.
The official Alma and Fairplay partnership announcement documents the change. The matching source image below shows that government page, not a booking photograph.
The announcement clears up a common mix-up. Police questions about Alma now start with Fairplay PD. Jail record questions still go to the Park County Sheriff's Office.
Alma Busted Mugshot Channels
No single channel shows the whole picture of Alma arrests. The county-endorsed VINE path covers current custody within a stated charge limit. Sheriff Activity Reports can identify selected arrest events for a dated week, though sampled files contain no photos. PCSO can review a focused request for a retained booking sheet and photograph. The court, in turn, carries the case forward from there.
| Source | Official? | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| Fairplay Police Department | Yes | Contracted Alma police report and handling agency |
| Park County Jail and VINE | Yes | Certain current Park County-charge custody |
| Sheriff Activity Reports | Yes | Near-weekly arrest and call narrative, no verified photos |
| PCSO record request | Yes | Retained booking sheet and separately requested photograph |
| Park Combined Court | Yes | Docket, register, orders, and disposition |
| The Flume and legacy archive | No | Secondary leads that need official confirmation |
Start with an official source every time. A news item or an aging commercial page cannot establish current custody, no matter how confident it looks.
Search Alma Busted Bookings
Let the custody stage drive the search. A recent detention starts with the official county jail route. A known event week starts in the Sheriff's archive. A past or released booking needs a record request, and the final legal result belongs to the court. With no Alma-specific feed to lean on, this staged sequence beats a broad name search every time.
- Use the Park County Jail page to reach Colorado VINE. Search the full name and compare any available identifiers.
- Call 719-836-4373 when the person could be held for ICE, Colorado DOC, or another county, or when a very recent custody check is time-sensitive.
- Search the Sheriff Activity Report archive by the event week. Check the adjacent date ranges too.
- Ask PCSO Support Services for the booking sheet and booking photograph for an older or released event.
- Ask Park Combined Court for the register of actions and actual disposition.
The Park County busted mugshots search hub lays out these county channels in full. A report entry with no matching VINE result could mean release, transfer, system scope, or timing. Do not erase it or treat it as current without checking further.
Alma Town Record Requests
Alma offers no dedicated police-record form, published fee, or promised response time. Town-held material starts with Town Administrator and Clerk Gary Goettelman. Investigative files held by Fairplay PD go to the contracted department. The booking sheet and intake photograph still sit with PCSO. Ask each office to confirm it holds the exact record before any chargeable work begins.
- Describe the event with the full name, approximate date, location, and any report or case number.
- Contact Alma's clerk for town-held material and ask whether the file is held by Alma or Fairplay Police Department.
- Contact Chief Jeff Worley or Fairplay PD for contracted police records when directed.
- Make a separate PCSO request for “the jail booking sheet/record and the booking photograph,” if retained and releasable.

Fairplay Police Chief Jeff Worley handles these requests. Reach him at 719-836-2840 or jworley@fairplayco.us. Alma has no published timing schedule or fee schedule, so assume nothing about either. Ask the correct custodian directly for a cost estimate and a delivery method.
Note: A police report and a jail booking record are distinct, even when both describe the same Alma arrest.
Alma Weekly Arrest Reports
The county's recurring blotter is the PCSO Activity Report, not an Alma face gallery. Its dated PDFs usually cover about a week and mix call totals with narrative entries. A report may list a name, community, arrest date, alleged offense, and sometimes bond or release detail. Sampled reports are text-only. The archive has included Alma-area references, but it is not a complete booking export.
Pick the report that matches the event date. Check the files on either side too, because combined weeks, gaps, or delayed narratives can push an event across the expected boundary. Keep the direct PDF URL and its stated range. If bond or release appears, describe it exactly as that document reports it. Confirm current custody separately, and turn to the court for the later result.
Alma Jail Search Limits
Park County points jail-page visitors to VINE for inmate lookups tied to county charges. The tool has blind spots. Someone housed there on an ICE hold, a Colorado DOC matter, or charges from a different county may not show up, and those cases call for a phone call to the jail. So an empty result means little. It cannot rule out custody, an arrest, or a warrant, and it says nothing about an old booking that already ended in release.
Each custody status lives in its own system. VINE and the jail phone line handle who is in custody right now. PCSO records cover older Park County bookings. CDOC takes over once a person enters sentenced state custody or supervision, and BOP handles sentenced federal inmates while publishing no headshots to the public. ICE can locate certain immigration detainees but offers no Alma mugshots or criminal case outcomes.
Note: Park County posts no VINE refresh schedule, photo guarantee, or timeline for how long released records stay available.
Alma Busted News Checks
The Flume covers Alma within its broader Park County reporting. No routine Alma mugshot gallery or fixed police-photo cadence was verified. County reports are the official upstream source for the recurring blotter pattern, while news stories can add context. Regional television reports appear for unusual events, not as a steady arrest database. Their photos may be scenes or supplied portraits rather than booking images.
Mugshots.com's unofficial Park County landing page includes an Alma locality branch, but visible archive years show legacy coverage. It is not evidence of present custody or a complete arrest history. Verify any item with PCSO and Park Combined Court. The same caution applies to social posts, which are selective and can omit later case developments.
The broader local outlet map and story-to-record sequence appear on Crime News & Mugshots. Always preserve the date and wording of the source instead of merging an old allegation with a current status.
Alma Arrest Court Follow-Up
A booking record only tells part of the story. Park Combined Court holds the rest. Its docket shows scheduled proceedings, and a clerk request can pull the register of actions along with the actual outcome, whether that is a dismissal, a plea, a verdict, or a sentence order. The police report captures what officers wrote down. The booking sheet preserves what got entered at intake.
Cases move after booking. Charges get declined, reduced, amended, or dropped entirely. A person may plead to a different count or go to trial on the original ones. Bond and release deal only with pretrial custody. Reading the court file alongside the original Alma report keeps an old arrest image or news clip from standing in for the real result.
Alma Busted Booking Context
Colorado calls a booking photo a criminal-justice record. That label does not force the state to post it online. Park County promises no photos through its VINE path. Alma runs no municipal mugshot feed of its own. A released intake image shows one thing: the person as photographed at booking. It says nothing about what prosecutors filed or how a judge ruled later.
Ask PCSO for the booking record and the photo as two separate items. Give the name and an approximate date. Request a cost estimate. Find out which portions may be withheld or redacted. The county fee schedule lists a line called case photos, and it is unclear whether that price covers every booking photo. If an image gets denied, ask for the specific legal or policy reason. Court records still supply the context every Alma busted mugshot needs.
